Process Air System
The Combustion Lab’s current air system can delivery pressures up to 720 psi to the four high pressure rooms within the facility at ambient temperatures up to 1000F, as well as 2800 psi to the two high pressure rooms within CNES. The maximum air flowrate is in excess of 1000 lbs/sec for short bursts limited by pipeline size, delivery pressure, and initial storage pressure. The lab provides 250 psi and 125 psi air to all areas of the lab.
