Graduate Research
Prospective graduate researchers in the Ben T. Zinn Combustion Lab apply for admission through the School of Academic Faculty that is most aligned with their interests.
- Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering: Profs. Lieuwen, Menon, Oefelein, Seitzman, Steinberg, Sun, Yang.
- George Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering: Profs. Genzale, Mazumdar, Ranjan.
Due to a high volume of requests, emailed inquiries regarding admission to graduate studies generally will not receive replies.
Undergraduate Research
Each year, dozens of undergraduate students participate in research experiences at the Ben T. Zinn Combustion Lab. Current undergraduate students in the School of Aerospace Engineering and School of Mechanical Engineering should consult their School’s undergraduate research webpage for upcoming opportunities. Applications can be submitted here. Please fill out this form by the end of March to be considered for an interview for Summer/Fall openings and October for the Spring term of the following calendar year. We will stop collecting responses at that point and will email all applicants with steps for setting up an interview. If you don't hear back by mid-March or mid-November, please only then reach out via email.
